NSX-CE TOUR 2023; DRIVE WITH US OVER THE ROOF OF EUROPE.

Did you ever wonder how it would feel, driving over the roof of Europe in your NSX? Imagine 18 driving together over the roof of Europe……

NSX-CE Tour Austria 2023 made it happen, end of June 2023 18 NSXs gathered (including 3 NC1) at Bramberg am Wildkogel to share there passion and drive together.

It all started with a wild idea during covid period when on holiday in Austria driving our NSX and wanting to share one of the best driving experience we ever had with other enthusiasts. In fact it started back in 1985 when we were driving our motorcycle on the famous mountain roads of Austria, back than our love for the Alps started and after buying the NSX we wanted to drive those same roads again. And thus, we made it happen.

As mentioned the tour started at Bramberg where we took the cable car to our lunch venue at 2100 meters above sealevel, all attendees signed in and got there goodiebags. Owners from 10 countries in Europe joined,  everyone drove  there NSX to Austria, some over 1000 Km one way. Downhill we took the mountaincart, a three-wheel cart powered by gravity and steered by breaking the left or right rear wheels. They were the recipe for a spectacular downhill drive.

After lunch time was free to spend and explore the surroundings, some choose to drive over Gerlos pass, others went to the hotel in St Johan.

The next day was all about driving, unfortunatly the weather was not very kind to us with rain in the valley and fog on the mountain. We had to cross the world famous Grossglockner alpin road and luckily the weather cleared in the afternoon. Not enough for clear distant vieuws but clear enough for some very enjoyable steering AND due to the ‘not so good weather’ all the other tourists were not on the mountain roads meaning we had the hairpins to ourselfs. At the Grossglockner restaurant we had lunch sponsored by A.T.R. (thank you Christian). A perfect location for a groupe picture.

At night we had a barbecue sponsored by Science of Speed (thank you Chris) in our beautiful hotel in Bad Kleinkirchheim.

During the evening we gathered in the parkinggarage with only NSXs to do a ‘slowest window up contest’ (thank you Sylvian, what a great idea). Joop was our ‘winner’ with a window up time of 17.87sec (two windows from open to closed one after another). Should you be concerned about your window sliders, 9,32 sec is the avarage and quite good, 8.07 sec the fastest. (NC1 outside the competition did 4.08 sec). There also was the stereo competition (sponsored by Zensati, thank you Mark) won by Sandro.

Day three we went up a moutain again by cable car to enjoy the vieuw but most of all to go down on rails on the Sommer rodelnbahn (sponsored by A.S.Motorsport, thank you Adnan and Zensati, thank you Mark) . After that a nice tour to the Porsche museum in Gmund was a option but the highlight of the day was driving the probably best Alpin road in the Alps; Nockalmstrasse, with its  50 plus hairpins everybody could test there driving skills.

In the evening it was time for our famous dinnernight with the NSX GURUquiz won by Stephan and best of tour NSX won by Sandro who won a personalised watch sponsored by NSXClub UK.
