New NSX intake system
Recently i’ve been exploring which intake systems are available for the Honda NSX. I’ve come to the conclusion that many systems have become discontinued.
After a tip from a good friend of mine Niels Dalmeijer i decided to contact Ceemo Engineering in Maarssen. Ceemo is a company specialised in composites and have done many projects for in example BMW ETCC (now knows as WTCC), The Spijker Squadron and many more. Today i’ve dropped off my NSX as “test mule” to explore the options available. After a meeting with Kees (the owner) i’m convinced that i’ve chosen the right company. He has loads of ideas and an immens knowledge in this area. He believes that the NSX has a good base to start from but noted the side feed wasn’t ideal compared to ie. a snorkel like used on the JGTC cars. But he’s convinced he can get a proper working system together! He also looked at the current systems available and told me the discontinued Mugen system looked like the best option out there. So he is keeping that in the back of his mind as a base. In the oncoming month i will be posting updates on the system hopefully together with some flow figures and prototype pictures. If there is enough interest we will look into doing a (limited) production run, and if there is loads of interest we will start producing them! I’ll keep you guys posted via the news section and forum! Some pictures of work Ceemo has done in the past, to showcase the craftsmanship:
